The Library of MAMbo
Together with the exhibition activities, the museum provides users with bibliographical material to know more about the artists and the topics presented, in a comfortable environment which is not only a place where to study, but also a meeting place dedicated to the presentation of books, meetings with authors, artists and critics.

The continuously increasing book heritage of MAMbo is composed of more than 35,000 volumes and it is mainly constituted by monographs and catalogues of modern and contemporary art - both national and international - mostly acquired thanks to a specifically curated research campaign and a constant and continuing book exchange with important Italian and foreign museums, which enrich and increase the heritage.
3,000 are the specialised magazines that constitute the newspaper and periodical library of MAMbo, focused on contemporary art and open to the public for free reference.

Morandi Museum
A specific section of the library is dedicated to Giorgio Morandi, with publications, monographs and catalogs dedicated to the Bolognese master.

Concetto Pozzati book collection
From 1 December 2018 the library has a new room dedicated entirely to the collection of over 5000 volumes, catalogs and essays chosen and collected by Concetto Pozzati during his life, donated to MAMbo by his heirs Maura and Jacopo.

Video station Rilevamenti d'archivio (Archive surveys)
From 16 March 2022, the Library offers the public the opportunity to explore thanks to a video selection the path presented in the permanent collection in the section Rilevamenti d'archivio. Le Settimane Internazionali della Performance e gli anni '60 e '70 a Bologna e in Emilia Romagna (Archive Surveys.
